Messages July 2002
I finally posted a tribute to Patty Pallex and Debbie Webb with the pictures I had. You can see it at "In Loving..." at the top header on the homepage. I'd really appreciate it if you could send more pictures of Patty and Debbie to add to the page. And anything else you would like to see there to make it memorable... Mike
Nice job on the page for Patty and Debbie. I have some pictures of them both that I'm sure you would like to add. I'll get busy digging them out and scanning them in for you Mike.
Hope all of you living in San Antonio are keeping dry. My prayers are with you all.
Nice job on the "In Loving" tribute to two wonderful gals, Mike. Also I sure hope all of you in San Antonio area are safe and that your homes are secure. WE could sure use some of that rain up here in dry old Nebraska so we will do a rain ddance here and let you all stay dry for us that are coming to visit you soon. Our thoughts are with you though!! I sure hope everyone of you have a safe and fun Fourth of July! ENJOY! Just a short time now until we all get together--remember all those crunches and get the roots taken care of--HA, Ha just a hair person talking. See you soon! Susan
Greetings my fellow Ramsteiners and welcome to the 2 week warning for the 2002 reunion. That's right people....it's 2 weeks away !! Now Ron has spoken to me on several occasions here in recent weeks and has expressed deep concern for the health and well being of everybody coming to his house for the reunion festivities. Personally, I think he's just trying to avoid getting his ass sued ( no offense Ms. Combs) by any of the drunks who wonder around his property unsupervised. Anyway, Ron claims he learned a few things observing everybody last year in Vegas and asked me to pass along these 20 rules for us to follow. # 1 Donna Huot isn't allowed to breath near any open flames.***** # 2 If she does catch on fire, you're to immediately rush Mike Parker over to her and have him perform his Bellagio Water and Light Show.***** # 3 Sue Comb's isn't allowed to wear any open toe shoes.***** # 4 Don't let CB use your credit card in any lingerie stores.***** # 5 Make sure you know how much dinner is before you sit down to eat.***** # 6 Fish tatses better when it's warmed up, unless you like Sushi (yeah Gay we already know)***** # 7 Stealing La Margarita utensil's will not be tolerated.***** # 8 If Brian wants to make a speech, let him.***** # 9 If Chuck wants to buy you a white russian, don't get too excited...it's only an alcoholic drink.***** # 10 Watch you language around Kris and Steve.***** # 11 Please avoid telling drunk pilot jokes in the presence of Mike Goldfein.***** # 12 Please "card" any date Debi Smith brings to the reunion.***** # 13 If JR says let's do shots of tequila, ask her for the "special".***** # 14 Make sure you pin the tail on the right ass.....don't even ask.***** # 15 If Dee says she owes you a beer, good luck ever getting it.***** # 16 Ask Jamie Hanson for the "first class" treatment....that is if she even shows up.***** # 17 If Mike Parker asks you to join him in a friendly game of Blackjack.....RUN !!!***** # 18 Urinating on the Alamo is a no - no. Ain't that right Ozzy ?***** # 19 Rick Gillis is only drinking Pepsi products at the reunion, so don't even bother offering to buy him anything else.***** # 20 Angie's not allowed in the tree house. #$%$#@!&? Well there you have it my friends. I hope these rules don't keep you from having a good time in San Antonio. If they do become too restrictive, we can always cruise down the road and trash eeerrr party at Sue's. See ya in 2 weeks and have a Happy Independence Day !!!****** CB "once upon a time called now" Severson
Hello, Thanks for your concern about all the rain we have been receiving in S.A. 11" of rain the past few days...so much for that. Well, there is only 2 weeks until the BIG BASH!!! Just a reminder that CB & Brian will be parking the cars & serving the food/drinks on Friday...thanks CB & Brian..you all are the best. Have a safe 4th of July & see you all in a few weeks. Ron
I was looking at the weather channel and it tells me that yall gots the Seattle area rain. Our grounds can handle it up here. I can only hope that all of you are stayin dry and not getting flooded. C U N 2 B.
Judy...you're living around Canyon Lake, right? You've been hit hard! I just saw a news story and mannnnn I hope everything is okay for you there. Everyone else, pray it dries up around here in the next 2 weeks...we've all been hit hard around here. Also...saw something on the tube this monring about the "sweatiest American cities" (based on humidity)...and San Antonio gets top honors!!!!! It's thick! Happy 4th!
I guess I should've added a 21st rule to that last update....."No assigning of anymore job titles to CB". Sorry Ron, but I'm gonna be too busy in your tree house, to be parking anybodies cars. I think since San Antonio is hosting this years reunion, it's residents should be responsible for parking cars, providing shuttle services, massages, corn rubs, belly button lint removal and most importantly "ALL" bar tending duties. Can I get an "AMEN" *****CB "if the tree house is rockin, don't bother knockin" Severson*****
I've been in touch with Mike Parker this week via e-mail and he has now moved to Oregon. In fact, he mentioned the other day that Kenny Stoner is about 15 minutes away from him and he was supposed to have drinks with Kenny last night. Mike wasn't sure on whether or not he was going to be able to make it to the reunion. Our beloved web site host did bring up an intersting point though....as long as Jamie can make it to the reunion...who cares if Grizz shows up or not !!! Leave if to Grip to figure out that angle.*****CB "don't forget the red teddy" Severson
Good afternoon everyone! I just got off of the phone with Patty Pallex's mother. We haven't talked since she called me the day Patty passed away. She sounds great and told me she is doing wonderful. She lives in Arizona now. I told her about the web page and I am sure she is going through it as I write. Ron, you are the main host. If you want me to park cars and serve drinks, I'm your man. I want to keep you happy. I am counting on your place Thursday night since I didn't get a room for that night. As for speeches, I only said the things that we all thought and wanted to express. I'm sure someone else will do the same thing this year even better. I do know some people make big money for a speech at a large gathering. I can be bought.
Hi everybody! Just wanted to say I was blown away when Reuben e-mailed me about the website and the reunion. I have wondered for years about where everyone is now. Can't wait to get there. I am trying to get in touch with Terri Gatley. Talked to her mom, no luck reaching her yet. See ya'll soon!
I know you're all just sick of hearing from me, but I wanted to help Ron keep things going by reminding you all again to choose a La Margarita meal and to send your check to Ron for that and Friday night's BBQ. Keep those checks coming! Angie "chug this water NOW" Wylie
Hey everyone, Some of you know me and and some don't. What a great sight. It has brought back many memories. I can't make the reunion this year but maybe next year. I will have a couple of drinks and think about all of you. Have a great time. Does anyone know what happened to Pam Plehn. She played basketball and ran track with us. I have been in touch with J.J. Ruffin(Bryant). He is in MD in the airforce. Take it easy and I will take it any way I can. LOL
Greetings my fellow Ramsteiners and before I continue, please write this e-mail address down......Michaelparkker@aol.com....we're starting up a "write in campaign" to get Mike Parker from backing out of coming to this reunion. I need for everybody reading this, to drop Ol' Mike an e-mail "enouraging" him to come to the reunion. Now I know he just moved to Oregon, but surely he can use a break from all that unpacking and slide down to San Antonio and share a few brewski's with his long lost high school friends ? If you think so, then write the poor overworked guy and tell him to get his ass to San Antonio and save his excuses for the Internal Revenue Service.****** CB "Mr. Ozarka" Severson******
Howdy, What are we suppose to send money in advance for. Should I read that stuff that's on the website or is all just for entertainment purposes? I'm flying in on Delta at 248pm Thurs. By the time Bennie get's his big ass head off the plane I should be through baggage claim.
Howdy, Ok, Ok, I read about the money thing.... Here's my cell number 801 641-3209. How do you want me to send the money?
Geeeez Carl...you're such a pain! LOL! Sned money for BBQ ($10.50) and for La Margarita meal (check out website for choices and prices). Send a check to Ron Garcia...his address on the website as well. All info listed under Reunion '02. For everyone else...we'll be sending out a FINAL (I swear) email on Friday with last minute reminders, etc. Angie "Ron's Secretary" Wylie
Don't pay any attention to Angie! Send each person on hte email list 10 dollars except for me. Send me 50 dollars. I am told that it will be returned to you tenfold by a reliable source...right CB?
Ok Carl...lets not get on the size of my head..If I remember right, yours was not as big, but it was as wide...I will be toasted by the time I get off the plane gonna start the party on the plane. Gonna get the pilots, ooops, no pilots (sorry Mike), flight attendants and others festive...B.
Oh by the way Carl, you always wore those goofy hats to cover your head up...are you gonna bring one??B.
OK, OK, OK already. Let me go cash my welfare check and I'll send you money grubbers some cash for those reunion dinners. All I can say, is there better be some good food at this place. I mean, I can usually eat for a week at Taco Bell on what I'm paying for one meal at this La La La La whatever that joint is called. I know it's not near as pricey as Tremezzo's and I promise I won't get up and leave, no matter how much I have to pay. Just please tell me that water isn't $ 5 a glass and I promise to avoid making a scene. Considering how much water San Antonio has received here lately, we can probably just take our glasses and drag them along the ground and get some for free. Which reminds me....I'm no geography expert, but isn't San Antonio in Mexico ? If that's the case, maybe we shouldn't be drinking the water at all. I need to make a mental note to work real hard this week and panhandle some exra money and update my passport. No way they'd let me back in the country with this one....I look like Tommy Chong in it. I gotta go for now...it's time for me to grab some cardboard and get to sleep. Jose "what do you mean this isn't an all you can eat buffet" Jimenez
Jose, I feel ya, $10.50 a meal, that's a month's pay. A good month. To spend it all on one meal???? I am blessed that I live in Salt Lake City where the Mormon's feel so bad about how they treated Blacks about 100 years ago that we walk on water here. The food banks here deliver too. Now Bennie, I'm only going on what Sue said about your head. Sue, sorry to snitch you out but Bennie's buying all weekend so I've got to stay on his good side (until Saturday night.) Run that send 10 dollars to everyone thing by me again, I'm a slow learner. Is that to everyone I know or you know? Or, everyone everyone?????
What's a Check? Usually I pay with other people's credit cards. Oh by the way, while I'm there everyone call me Mako Nishimoto, that's the name of MY credit card, it's my stage name. Wink Wink
Damn Carl...they let you put your stage name on a credit card? Both Visa and American Excess said they wouldn't put "Big Kahuna" on my credit cards, because my skin was too light and I didn't even look Hawaiian. I told them I was stuck in a tree house up Alaska for 6 months during the winter months, which is why I was so light skinned, but they didn't buy it. Oh well...I guess I just have to be satisfied with who I am and move on.*****Mike "I look dead sexy in a red teddy" Parker
So Carl, this credit Card thing. Does one of yours say Lil Bow Wow...
For those of you arriving in San Antonio with no rental car plans, but in need of a (car) ride to Ron's or anywhere else for that matter, please e-mail Goldfein with that info. He will post it on the "who's coming" page. We will refer to this website page and try to get everyone taken care of. If you see someone else arriving around the same time you are, get with them to see if you can mooch a ride...or we'll send someone for you! Oh btw, a credit card bearing the name Anna Nicole Smith was found on a dirt bike trail in Ohio...anyone missing their card?

JUST READ ALL THE E-MAILS. DAMN CARL YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE A COMPUTER NURD, CERTIANLY YOU KNOW TO CLICK ON THE VARIOUS SUBJECTS TO SEE THE INFO! NO WONDER YOU USED YOUR STAGE NAME FOR YOUR CREDIT CARD! I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU LIVED NEXT DOOR TO THE LEAD DETECTIVE FOR THE OJ TRIAL. WHAT THE HELL IS HIS NAME. ANYWAY WATCH YOUR GLOVES! NOW AS FAR AS BENNIE'S BIG ASS HEAD HE'S THE ONE THAT TOLD ME THAT. BY THE WAY I WENT SHOPING FOR A BIGGGG ASS PILLOW AND THE ONLY THING I COULD FIND BIG ENOUGH SAID DOGGY BED! HA HA CARL BENNIE GETS IN BEFORE YOU DO, SO WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR WIDE ASS HEAD. (PLEASE BE SURE NOT TO BRING ANY OF YOUR OLD HATS!!!!) FOR ALL OF YOUR WHO ARE INTERESTED OR NOT INTERESTED I RECEIVED 25 1/2 INCHES OF RAIN. WAS STUCK IN MY HOME FOR 4 DAYS DUE TO LOW WATER CROSSINGS. GEE I HOPE I'M NOT PREGNANT! HA HA
Sue, Carl has to bring at least one of the hats. Im hoping for the one with the dookie ball on the top...A doggie bed will be perfect for my head..thank you...B..Angie what the heck does LOL stand for.
Howdy, I will be bringing one hat, it's from Hawaii. It's the only one that I have emotional ties to now. It's the only one that fits because I had Dreadlocks up until about 2 months ago. No one would hire me so I cut them off. Now that I have a job, I'll grow them back. Also I have not crossed the line yet and become a full fledged nerd. I am taking the injections and still going to the group sessions. I am in Computer Security. I check to see if employees go on Porno sites during work hours. Of course I don't ding them if they have good taste. I also accept gifts and cash. Bennie, you talk to Trez yet??? Quit Whinning Sue and get that one horse town mopped up before we get there. Did all 6 residents get a couple of drops of rain? What was that cop's name from the OJ days? He's living up near me now in Idaho. Furman. CB, do your banking online then they don't care what you look like, Mako is a Japanese girl's name.
Well, as in all good divorces (as if), my ex has managed to derail my plans to attend the reunion in San Antonio. Next year we'll have to have it at my house, on 6 acres, with the pool, quads and 6 acre dirt bike track next door. OK? Louis and Dianna are already in Columbus, and we have a big airport. Hope y'all have a GREAT time and I can't wait to read all about it in USA Today and see it on COPS. Sigh.......
Hey Suez, cool phone number...hows bout an area code. Is it the same as Rons. Carl is a comp. nerd, dont let him fool yas. Dred locks...so can we call you Bob Marley. How bout Prediter...you know, dude Arnold and Danny had to ruff up in da movies...B
Sorry guys my area code is (210) 827-0817. (Cell #) Carl, Carl, Carl those dred or is it dreg locks have definately affected your thinking ability. We aren't talking about a horse town here, it is a cow town. We cowboys already have the place mopped up and ready to go. Did you know there are famous Rodeo men and women on the circut today and have won the big event in Los Vegas. Ferman yeah thats the dude.... So Bennie what libations do you plan on par-taking in on your trip to S.A.? CB
Well Suez, I drink the kind that you turn up. In other words,if its an inebriating substance will due for me...The only differance between me and the hobo's...Oh sorry I must be politically correct (transients)is that I have a job and a place to live. Oh I wont drink mouth wash or rave hair products...Im checking with a local brewery to get them to ship what the call microbrews down...They are pretty good. One way or another I plan on getting a few cases for the weekend...B
Sue it sounds like you are the transportation director. Would you consider taking my parking cars job at Ron's? I know you live on a large piece of property with lots of animals. Would you call that a farm or a ranch in Texas? Are you planning on picking up these people at the airport by car or horse? I thought I read earlier you were going to ride your horse and bring a jackass with you. Were you refering to a donkey or one of the first people that make it to Ron's? Carl, I think you should bring all your hats. We can have a fashion show and Benny can be the model. Sounds like great entertainment about 2 a.m. after the margarita machine starts smokin.
Yes, transportation Dir. sounds good, can I get the pay? By the way no jackasses just nags....... No I will not park cars, as you well know "I" am the p/up director I'm bussy man!!! No horses in my country, just cows, but they can pull a wagon. Hat Fashion show, great idea! Can women model to, or is it just Bennie the cop from Washington, (AKA ROBO-COP) Trust me you and CB will have some airport duty also. Then I'll park the cars! sue Hey Carl will you get me Fermans autograph? I'll give you my pink fuzzy slippers to sneak into Donna's room with! sue Bennie How big is a big ass head? give me some #'S sue
Ok Bri, we wont have to wait til 2 A M. I will put a hat on soon as iget there. Suez the old nugget size hmmmm, let see, oh I got it. think of those things that we hollow out an put candles in for all Hollows Eve...Thats holloween Carl...B
Trans Dir. Sounds good, Just thought I didn't have enough responsibility so what the heck! Can't get a drunk driving on a horse, although I can get a ticket for public intoxication. No Jackasses this trip just nagggggggs! Bennie how big is a big ass head? GIVE me a number? something I can calculate. Carl can you get me Furmans autograph and in return I'll give you pink fuzzy slipper to sneak ito Donna's room! Bennie cute name for the hat! Brian I will do my best to assist you in anyway possible, I will have my assistant Dir of parking cars get in touch with you.....uuugghhh Carl pull your weight man!!!!!! you just can't scan porno!!!!!!! Let Brian know the parking schedule for the weekend would you? sue
Ok Bri, we wont have to wait til 2 A M. I will put a hat on soon as iget there. Suez the old nugget size hmmmm, let see, oh I got it. think of those things that we hollow out an put candles in for all Hollows Eve...Thats holloween Carl...B
Okay YOU are a nerd......but no computer nerd. LOL is laughing out loud. Of course there's also the ROTFLMAO which is "rolling on the floor laughing my ass off" which I am now doing over all this big ass head talk. Maybe you can roll on the floor and laugh your big ass head off. Ang
Lathered up in a leather jacket....I usually end up that way whenever I get invited into a treehouse. Just make sure to have plenty of Butter and KS Oil on hand. Ron would know doubt appreciate it, if we covered the floor with some sort of plastic device to protect the carpet (and my knees)....I'll be damned if I can think of anything that would do the trick right now. Maybe it'll come to me after I take a shower. BTW Slick....loved your update today !!! I knew you could do it. Thank goodness you're not milking that "big ass head and ass" line that some of our cohorts are. I'm getting a pretty good visual here of Karl dancing around in his living room singing "I like big butts and I can't deny"***** CB "better cushion for the pushin" Severson
c.B., What is up with you and the tree house. Carl dancing in lather and leather..How bout the dreds. Ang, if you think thead nugget is big, you should see the snout..good thing I dont have a coke habit..
Somebody should tell Suez and Spinkles to bring a cardboard sign with them to the airport when they go pick up Bennie and the Jets. They can attach the sign to the back of Sue's wagon for easy display. It'll only need to have 2 simple words on it, a mere 8 letters combined_________"WIDE LOAD"
If you could find your way into one of our Ramstein chat rooms sometime Bennie....you'd know exactly what the fascination with treehouses is all about. I'll give you a clue though....it doesn't have anything to do with Big Ass Heads, Hats, jobs as Pumpkin Pail designers, the Suez Canal, Dread Locks, crooked racist cops, Ron and Nicole, OJ's miraculous Hand Growth in court, threatening to shoot one's self while his friend drives 25 mph down a freeway during the middle of the Rockets -vs- Knicks Championship basketball game (way to go Rockets)...which reminds me...just how many LA Cop cars does it take to chase a Ford Bronco going 25mph, down the freeway ? Anyway, I digress. If you really want to know what the fascination is with the treehouse Bennie...hand Slick $100 at rthe reunion and he'll let you climb up and see.*****CB "leave all camera'a and flash devices at the bottom of the ladder" Severson
Sue, Thanks in advance for the ride. My cell # is 615-828-0228. Man, just by reading the messages, sounds like nothing has changed in ??? years. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Be safe and see ya'll soon!!
Just thought I would let all you guys know that Debi Smith's father passed away today, very suddenly and unexpectedly. If you would like to send her your condolences, please contact me and I will get her address to you. (Her email address is listed her on the website) You guys have a great time next weekend.
Bennie, I thought someone said the head was proportional to another body part, maybe it was the nose.. Anyway, I don't care to find out so please just do the hat show and leave the lather and leather for someone else. Speaking of lather, one does remember we will be at Ron's house with Ron's wife and Ron's children right? I suggest the lather show be outside in the yard so the kids can sleep. The show could be worked in with the hot tub couldn't it? Angie, you are the festivities director, any ideas? No, we are not having the show in the treehouse....unless you donate$100 to me admission (I like your thinking on that CB)
Howdy, Sorry to hear about Debi's divorce and Pops. Bummer. Ron, checks in the mail......
Carl, don't you know that in most places one must pay a late fee when sending money in this late? Ron told me that he felt that a penalty must be paid. I suggested that you must wear the big mexican hat all night at La Margarita's Saturday night and drink nothing but shots of Tequilla. Bennie heard about this deal and promptly canceled his check so he could pay the late fee.
Just to make you happy I will bring a picture of Carl in a hat with a white dookie ball! Will that do? I'm sure it is far better than the palm tree hat he's bringing from Hon-a-lulu sue
Just wanted to say hi. I just got back from SA and will not be attending the reunion, but saw a lot of names I remember and just wanted to say hi and hope you all have a great time next weekend. I live in Houston and am married with two daughters. Take care, Brian Koop
Allright...the winner of the "who got there first contest" goes to Skip Eubanks. I'm not kidding, he arrived in San Antonio already. Ron Garcia isn't even in San Antonio...he's off in Houston! I just talked to CB who is hangin' with Ron tonight (Some brews, the Astro's game, more brews....) and was informed that Skip GOOFED up the dates...he thought the reunin was this Thursday!! One week left, folks! I'll send out my final (oh stop pouting) e-mail tomorrow with last minute tidbits. Carl, read the darn thing woulda ya?
Brian, how did you find out the reason I canceled the check. That was classified. We are in the single diget now. 6 days and counting. As for me 4 days before my vaction starts. My daughter has been putting on a cheer...You think she might want me outta here for a while. THe you kid next door does look like a blue/green eyed Freddi Price Jr. and has been hanging ouot around here a lot...Are those warning sighns...The things that make you go Hmmmm...
I met Ron Garcia at his hotel yesterday before we had dinner (did that even qualify as dinner) and headed down to Minute Maid Park to watch my Astos put an ass whuppin on the Reds. Ok, so the score was only 4 - 3, but the Reds have had our number as of late and it was good to get the monkey off of our back. We had a blast at the game and they even retracted the roof to reveal the Houston skyline.....Ron and his "buddy" were impressed. We plan to do it again this Mionday, when the Prates are in town. See ya then Ron. As for the rest of you....I just want to let all you reunion participants know, that I'm gonna be heading out the door on Saturday afternoon and won't be back home until after the San Antonio Reunion is over. If you need to contact me, call my cell, otherwise I'll see Chuck King and his lovely wife Lynn here in Houston on Wednesday and we'll pick up Brian Greseth at the airport early Thursday morning and head straight to San Antonio. Hope to see you all there. CB "damn you Skip" Severson
One more peice of info from your Festivities Committee: Our hangout for Thursday Night is going to be a place calling Spechts. Ron says it's out in the country and a good place to kick back and drink some COLD cerveza and eat some burgers. So for all you early birds...that's where we'll be hangin'. When you arrive, don't forget to call Sue "I got the transportation covered" Combs on her cell.
Hey Koop, What's up? Get your but down to this reunion. I've heard about guys like you. Do you want one of us to call and ask your wife if it's ok? Or just bring her......If she can hang. Late fees, I'll wear the hat if you will Brian.. Is it kind of a when in Rome thing? I don't know if I can handle all the booze. The whole drinking body weight thing: Another myth shot to hell. I'm a cheap drunk. I had to slow down on account that nobody could hang with me....
Hey Brian, good to hear you are doing well! Carl, I'm with you with the sombreo wearing. I hear that chicks dig guys in sombreros. Is that why you wear all the hats? Aren't you a married man? I figure if nothing else, we could hide a few enchiladas in the brim off the taco bar for later. We could be like those survivor guys that bring food back to the tribe for later. I see hero written all over this deal. What's the deal with Skip in San Antonio already?? I know there was a prize for the first arrival from outside the state of Texas but, come on Skip, I think you have gone too far on this one. I'm all into planning ahead and getting my ducks in a row but 9 days early is not fashonably early. I'm expcting you to be the tour guide when the rest of us get there.
Sorry bout that, My kids yappy dog just jumped on my lap. Hey all lets take it easy on Skip. He just wanted to see the flood waters before they go away. B
Finally sent Mike G. info on our flights--sorry for the tardiness Miss Angie--I thought it had been sent--I may a bit spacy upon arrival just changed work locations in a hurry last Thursday so we will be ready for that Marg machine. I am once again trying to rack my brain for memories of this years guests--last year I knew more of the people more personally so that was tough enough after all these years but there are so many of you that I knew but I am not sure if you would remember me from RJH days --Oh well we all became good friends by the end of Vegas also so no worries--See you all soon> Susan Barker
Howdy, My girlfriend is leaving in 2 weeks for Japan for a couple of years. I don't know if it's because of me or not, I've only been dating her for a month. Anyway, I'm single and available. Feel free to hook me up, I am willing to relocate.
Carl, you are mental...B
Hey guys and girls, Just found out from Tony Laurel that there was a party happening in my Town and I thought it would be nice to see some of my old friends and maybe make some new ones too. Not sure who to call to say that I will be a some of the festivities. So if someone can tell how to do that or if its to late tell me that to. bob ainslie
Bob! Thanks for the notice bud. We were wondering if you might pop up seeing as it's local for you. Everything is here on the website. Just look up the directions to Ron's place under Reunion '02 and show up. We'll be there Thu and Fri. You can work out the $ with Ron Garcia once you get there. Just drop a note to Ron at ronngarcia@msn.com and Angie Wylie at angiewylie@yahoo.com and Sue Combs at laysusan61@hotmail.com (don't ask). As you can see, were headed out to Spechts for dinner on Thu and everything is at Ron's on Fri starting around noon. We're all looking forward to seeing you! Is Elena still in the area? Cheers--Mike Goldfein

Hope you're all having a great time! In your honor I've dedicated a bottle of Tequila Rose for each day of the reunion. Can someone pass me a curly straw? And Carl, honey, how old are you? Hush, Ang, it never hurts to ask. CB, this new parochial school skirt will have to wait until next year's reunion..... sigh! Send photos soon guys! Mugs shots cost extra.
Well--it came and went quickly, just as fast as predicted--and what a fabulous time we had! A huge thanks to Ron and JoAnn Garcia (and of course Rubianne, Julian, and Jordan), our extremely gracious hosts who put on a first class act! Superb food and even better hospitality! To Angie Wylie and Sue Combs for all the help with coordination, taxi service, tables , chairs, coolers, and (of course) the margarita machine. To Tom's BBQ for catering a genuine Texas barbeque--love that brisket! To the staff at La Margarita's who gave us exclusive use of their upstairs private party room! To Rick Gillis for all the great PEPSI! And to everyone who showed up to make this such an awesome event. Thanks for investing your time and $ to be with us and share the great memories of Ramstein's yesteryears! Could ya feel the love? If you missed it, don't fret--Reunion '03 will happen before you know it--and it will be BIGGER and BETTER than ever! Stayed tuned for details as we vote on the location and set some dates. Sure hope everyone made it home safely. Cheers--Mike "I don't have game" Goldfein (Doby--just joshin ya bout the PEPSI)
Great reunion, people!! Thank you again Ron, Sue and Angie. You guys did a wonderful job and Ron, please thank JoAnn again also for sharing your home with us. I did not get to say good-bye to anyone before we left and just wanted to say how much I enjoyed getting to see everyone and catch up. - Cyndy
Howdy, It was fantastic. I also want to Thank, Ron, Angie, Sue, CB for the music, outstanding job. It was great to see everyone there. The woman were beautiful and them men looked good until that basketball game. CB, will you make me a CD or two?
Just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had friday evening seeing everyone again after all these years.Ron,JoAnn, angie, and sue- thanks for all your efforts-it was worth every minute of it.Hope everyone had a safe trip home..see you guys for sure next year..
I was driving home from tne airport Sunday night thinking about a fantastic time I had at the reunion. I also thought about the things I learned at the reunion. 1. Ron and JoAnn Garcia are two of the kindest, caring and unselfish people I have ever known. 2. Amy Plutt can still light up the room when she enters it. 3. Kelly Moore actually dated someone her age. She couldn't remember who but told me she would get back to me before the next reunion. 4. Mark Shepard gave me the answer to the age old question of What is the differce between a stone fox, a super fox, and a stalky fox? Thanks Shep 5. Angie is definitely THE festivities director. 6. Jackie and Dee had the answers to a lot of questions I hadn't really thought of. They did cheat at times using their Glamour magazine as a resource. 7. Carl showed me that a person can really play basketball in flops while drinking beer at the same time. 8. Kenny Stoner actually has two a.k.a's Kenn and Kevin 9. C.B. is the real deal when it comes to music and I have heard he is quite the candle maker also. 10. Jackie B gave us all insight as to why us brats act like we do. 11. Susan Marzano has the greatest smile and she shared it with us the entire weekend. 12. We are fortunate to have all witnessed unconditional love. No matter what has happened in the past years, we have been able to come together and feel the true caring and the bond we have with one other. It is a feeling that can't be put into words but it makes one smile, puts a tear in your eye, and a tingle down your back at the thought of the wonderful times we have been able to share together. I thank God for being us together. Isn't God Great?!!
I don't know about anyone else, Brian, but I thought you did a great job of putting things into words. Amen. Cyndy
Well it looks like Brian beat me to the sentimental lines, which means I have to fall back on my usual rhetoric. As Jackie Gleason would say….awayyyyy we go….. Alright Stoneman (aka Old Blue Eyes), so I sandbagged just a little at Horse Shoes. Next time don’t be so quick to proclaim how great you are at them and don’t even think of complaining of how short the distance between each bar was….afterall, I had to endure your $#@&% 8 foot rim at basketball. Don’t even get me started on what we all thought of you and Slick (aka Old Blue Eyes?) being all bright eyed and bushy tailed every morning at breakfast. Even I didn’t have that much afterglow…and I had a %$#@& legitimate reason for mine. Speaking of afterglow…..thanks to Angie Wylie, Jackie Rocheford and Dee Norsworthy for joining me in bed Thursday night / Friday morning. I haven’t learned that much in bed from 3 women since….well, since never !!! Thanks to Linda Price for confirming to us all that she had no clue what a real man looked like when she was 14 years old. I haven’t turned that many shades of red since I fell asleep in the tanning booth. Thanks to Rick Gillis for sharing his Crown Royal and whatever that soda was with me. Thanks to Tony for the belt of Tequila, although I’m sure everybody would agree that my Tuaca shots went down much easier. I’ve never seen a bottle disappear that fast, since I was rolled by a gang of wino’s in the French Quarter. Thanks to Benny for the priceless expression when I had Angie ask him about Joette Pasada…..if you could have only seen the look on his face. BTW, the answer is “yes”, if the question is….Will I make some CD's for Carl "my flip flops have a flat" Springle. By the way Carl....I haven't seen a person fall to their back that often, since I offered $40 to a hooker in Nawlins last year. Next year bring some damn b-ball shoes with you. If you wear a 11 1/2...I had extras. If you don’t believe me, just ask Jeff “damn that CB knows how to match his clothes” Taylor !!!! Thanks to Ron Garcia for hitting 20% of his shots during the basketball game. If he would’ve hit 50%, we’d of won by 7 baskets…..so much for home court advantage. Which leads me to thanking Brian for taking it easy on me after I hurt my knee. Had he not done that, they would’ve probably won by 10. Thanks to Dee for “FINALLY” buying me that beer she owed me from last year. Too bad she forgot the interest that built up in the past year on that debt. By my calculations, she owes me a six pack now. Speaking of debts owed….congrats are in order to Kim Flinn for paying off hers right away. If I thought a wave of the hand would get me a beer every time I raised it….all the blood in my arm would be in my toes by now. Thanks to Kelly Moore for finally admitting (after 26 years) she was wrong for “dissin” me back in 75. I’d also like to thank Norman Bolds for steppin in for the Stoneman in Horse Shoes and helping me squash Slick and the Big Kat. I bet those 2 have never been so happy to hear Sue Combs make a speech in all their lives. And I would be remiss, if I didn’t thank Mark Shepherd for all the nice things he said about me. I remember him as that squeaky voiced kid back then and now the sumbitch hires out as a body guard in his spare time. I don’t care what bad things Mike Goldfein said about you….you da man !!! Thanks to Kris Loudis for letting me off the hook for my emotional comments regarding 9 / 11. No details are necessary on that one…right Rothstein ? Alright…enough of the serious talk…time to give thanks to those who really have it coming. Thanks to Sue Combs for keeping the mood light and Karl and Benny out of our hair. Thanks to Ron and his family for opening up their hearts and house to all of us and finally, I’d like to thank Angie for all her help in ironing out the details of the 2002 Reunion….you “REALLY” have no idea how much effort, time and money she put into this one. Now that the 2002 reunion is over with, I’d like to offer my encouragement to the people of Florida, as they have a large task before them, if they expect to top the San Antonio crew’s effort. I talked with Brian Greseth, Jackie Rocheford and Jackie Brees and between those 3…I think we have a solid foundation to begin the planning of the 2003 Reunion in Orlando. You better get busy, because the Stoneman is already working hard on the 2004 Reunion at his resort in Oregon. One final note before I get out of here……thanks to all who showed up this year and a word of advice to those who didn’t….don’t let 2003 pass you by. I know Brian speaks the words more eloquently then I do, but if you missed out on the last 2 reunions…your rear ends better be at the next one!!!! You’re not getting any younger and you don’t want to end up bed ridden, wishing you had gone to one of these gigs before getting confined to a ‘WALKER”. Thanks again to all who made this one a hoot******* CB “ The Music Man” Severson
In a word..WOW!! It was everything I had hoped it would be! Thank you Ron and JoAnn for all your hospitality and for opening your hearts and home up to us! Many thanks to Sue, Angie and CB (still in awe at the way you match your shirts to your shoes) for all of the time they invested in planning this. It was definitely a job well done and all your efforts are to be applauded and appreciated! Lastly thanks to all who attended the reunion this year for helping me take some wonderful dusty old memories of some of the best times in my life out to be dusted off and renewed. And then y'all not only did that but then you gave me some great new ones to go with them! Dang your good! God has truly blessed our lives by giving us such wonderful friendships that continue to endure. It was great seeing y'all again and I look forward to many more of these to come! More later after I come down from this wonderful high!
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR AN AWESOME WEEKEND. IT WAS TRULY A BLESSING TO SEE YOU ALL AT THE REUNION....THE WEEKEND FLEW BY SO FAST, BUT IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I'M ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT REUNION. I THINK ALOT OF US FEEL THE SAME WAY THAT IT'S GREAT WE ARE BACK IN TOUCH. THE RAMSTEIN MEMORIES & FRIENDSHIPS WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY. TAKE CARE, RON
Howdy, CB, I do wear an 11 1/2 but I have my own pair tennis shoes. They are my good shoes and I only wear them to Church. Can you help a brother out with some music?????????
Hello everyone, took me this long to get my wits back. ( If I ever had any!!) Miss the airport so much I go there every day now asking people if they need a ride. No thanks needed for anything, my pleasure. Angie the taxi driving was easy, carri\ying the tables and charis was murder. Humidity was a killer!!! and I live here. Thatcher had\w did the bass react to the treats?! Catch any thing big? Fun ss\eeing everyone and enjoyed my trips to Mexico!!!! (Tequilla shots!) Haven't heard from Bennie, guess he had a hard time getting off the plane with his big ass pepper hat!!! Are you alive Bennie? CB next time we have a game that involves a stick or a bat we'll be sure to weld the devise to a chain so that we don't spend all our time in the tree re-assymbling. Ha Ha GO GET UM TIGER!!!! How many oysters did you have before you arrived? Flip Flop Carl. Thats the top basketball name this year. ha ha Great watching you men swerat Tell me that you meant to make all the air balls!!!! You all did so well you played like..... Well you played Ha Ha... Cindy hope your trip home was good. Loved seeing you and will see you again soon. Missed you the day you left. Bennie what dance did you do? Dad wants to know if you want a bloody mary? ha ha Ang would love to meet on the river walk the weekend of Labor Day. Let me check with the hubby and I'll get back to you. Brian and Deee seems as the years go by but you never seem to age. Great DNA!!!!! Jack B, Jackie R. Great to see the two of you! You both look so wonderful. Time has been great to you. Must be happy in your lives. Well I've talked enough.... Oh Debbie C. I'll pick you up from the Airport anytime!!!! You are a hoot! See you all in Florida, or where ever we decide. Sue Mike G. Have you decided a cool way to use all the bandana's? I have several ideas if you dare to ask! See ya, Miss all of you ! sue combs
Sue, he doesn't NEED the oysters...he'd be downright dangerous then! For the Florida reunion I say we pay for meals, etc ahead of time like we did this time...but also throw in a certain amount for the extra's. Then Tony won't have to walk around begging, er, uh, demanding donations! You sorta don't wanna get him peeved. For Skip's benefit, do we pick a date now so as not to confuse him later? We've got the weekend of the 11th or the 18th that are close to previous reunion dates. Or do I shut up and let the "hosts" make that decision after they know where and what we're doing?
Hey Ang don't you know it isn't propor to ask Carl about his sparkly jewels in public? Have some decency woman! I would have loved to have been in the airport to see Bennie and his pepper hat. Try to explain that one to the airport police. Hey Sue, thanks for the great DNA comment! I will take that as a compliment, I think. I would hate to admit that it really comes from the massive amount of junk food preservatives I have consumed in the past 40 years. I'm thinking next year we play the basketball game prior to bustin out the Shiner Boks. May speed up the players and slow down the perspiration. Could we make sure that all the players on Carl's team wear the same style flops. Oh, and can I be on the other team again? I am hoping we got some good in action photos of Carl's flip flop double roll. I think the judges would give it a 10. And he had the oddasity to call a foul on that. Is Kenny Stoner the manner man or what? I have been keeping my elbows off the table and not allowing my wife to apply lip products at the table since coming back from the reunion.
Yo web master Mike.....the picture of Mark Himsl and I playing hoops on your memories page is captioned incorrectly. It was Gay and I who were playing Mark and Kevin and it was Gay and I who won "The Game" !!! If there was play by play available from that game....it would show Gay "draining" about 5 set shots in a row while Mark and Kevin double teamed me. This of course forced Kevin to go out and play Gay, which left me one on one with Himsl....and while Mark was a damn good football player....he was no match the kid. Final score was something like 15 - 5....game over, thanks for playing and don't forget to pick your jock strap up off of the court on your way out !!! Mark wouldn't talk to me for over a week after that game and that's also how Gay became known as "Queen Of The Chain Courts". Yeah I know....I remember way too much crap from those days and I'm gonna get a wife eerrr life as soon as I log off*****CB "FRK" Severson
You can remain on the same team again next year Brian, but I insist you get your fellow teammates to grow up. Real men don't play on 8 foot basketball goals and until you guys win on a "regulation" style hoop....you're only talking trash. Here's an idea....send the Stoneman some steroids and a pair of stilts. Really Kenny.....10 feet isn't as far to you munchkins as you think. If all else fails, you can always launch your 3 pointers next year with a catapault******CB "has anybody seen my ACL" Severson
Endless gratitude to Ron and JoAnn Garcia for being such gracious and generous hosts. Thanks to Angie Wylie and Sue Combs for their contributions, above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks to Mike Goldfein for the fabulous website, providing a convenient way for us to keep track of each other. Thanks to all of you who showed up! I had such a wonderful time, seeing old friends and getting to make some new ones: 1. Angie Wylie, you are such a hoot! Not to mention a &#$@ freak of nature! How does a woman have a couple kids and manage to look BETTER than she did in school. Apparently I missed that memo..... 2. CB....okay, okay, maybe I was a little premature with my 14 yr. old assessment of you. I prefer to think I had an eye for talent. Thanks for the CDs...the music brings back so many memories, I love the cover photo, plus I have the added bonus of being able to irritate my children at the push of a button. 3. Brian G., except for the fact that you look 30 instead of 40, you are just as I pictured you. I think the kids at your school are lucky to have a principal like you. 4. Mike and Susan Barker....what a great story! It is nice to see people happily married to each other. Looks like you got it right the first time. What a handsome couple! 5. Sheila Beckham! You look fabulous, but where did you go?! I saw you for what seemed like 5 minutes Saturday, then POOF you were gone! Will you be making any more trips to the Dallas area any time soon? 6. It was good to see Kami Cooprider.....did she have those legs in school? Wow! 7. Tony Laurel, you were kind of stud-ly back then, but a good haircut and new glasses have done you proud! 8. Bob Ainsley..it was great seeing you, although I hear that I missed your pearls of wisdom regarding life, love and marriage. I'll try to audit your seminar next year. 9. Bennie Radford, I enjoyed talking to you. Cop and single parent. Who knew you would turn out to be so responsible. Of course, it hurts your image now when you where the pepper hat... 10. It was good to see Carl Springle again......... even without the hat with the turned up bill. But, do you think you could break out one next year? Just for old times' sake... 11. Louis Robinson! Gee, it is a shame you let yourself go! Is that what I have to do to get in that good of shape? Own a gym? Sounds like a lot of trouble.....isn't there a diet pill or shake I could have instead? 12. Joan Duncan-Supik! Congratulations! You look incredible and it was comforting to see you still have the same sense of humor! Please call when your up this way. 13. Lynda Duncan....What a cutie! I would have known you anywhere! 14. Jackie Rochford.....as someone aptly put it Saturday night, "What an icon!". I understand you Floridians are hosting the festivities next year. I am not sure what I can do from Dallas to help out, but if you think of something, please let me know. 15. Mary Supik....I envy all those curls. I have never been particularly attractive and have managed to maintain an amazing ability to look even worse in photos. Thanks for trying, hope I didn't hurt your camera.... 16. Norman Bolds...what a pleasure to meet you! I am glad we ran into each other at breakfast in the hotel. I had only known you by reputation, happy to see it is well deserved. 17. Thatcher Buckingham.....I feel better now that I have confessed I stole your name for my oldest son. Thanks for approving. 18. Rick Gillis, what a great smile! It was good to meet you. Let me know if would like my daughter to babysit. 19. Dee Norsworthy! I didn't know you, and don't know why I remember you so well, but you look wonderful! I would have recognized you anywhere. It was great to meet you. 20. Judy Polasek...I am so glad you decided to come! Please send me your husband's website address. I want to look at your furniture and pillows. 21. Kenny Stoner...good to meet you and thanks for the card. My husband and I are trying to relocate to Oregon. I will probably be checking into your resort sometime this fall. Thanks again. 22. I enjoyed talking with Mr. & Mrs. Reuben Atkinson Thursday night. I meant to talk to y'all some more Friday and Saturday, but someone gave me a drink and I got distracted.... 22. I am sorry I didn't get to spend more time meeting and getting to know Kim Flinn, Debbie Childers, Chuck King, Susan M., Kelly Moore, Amy Plutt, Jeanie S. Mark Shepherd, Jeff Taylor and Cyndy Yancy. I was having such a good time, I did not budget my time well. I hope I will get another chance next year. Before I get beat up, I apologize if I left anyone out, spelled names (or anything else) wrong, etc. Remember, I am now 40 and I was drinking. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful time.
Well, now that I have completley dried out and is back at work, I want to thank Ron and his wife for the great time at is home. Angie you and C.B. were the greatest. Sue, you took in 2 thugs and aloud them to stay in your home. How is Phsyco..The only dog I have ever seen that has a great time with rocks. I wish to thank you all. It took time to get out of the daze that I was in over that lovely weekend. I so needed to get away. Thank you all again. When ever, where ever the next reunion...Im there..Miss you all Bennie..P.S. Jimmy Duncan you gave me some serious eye openers...Take care..B
Hey everybody. Ron Garcia finally finished his training here in Houston yesterday and headed back to San Antonio. I had a blast with him his final 2 days here and hated to see the man leave. That 12 pack of Shiner Bock didn't last long, that's for sure. BTW....I downloaded all the pictures I took at the reunion onto a CD and made copies for Ron and Sue. I had taken over 200 pictures, but went through and deleted some of the less then flattering ones...thanks to Ang for pointing those out. Do I dare ask Bennie, what "eye openers" Jimmy Duncan provided him with ? I thought only women were equipped with those, which makes me wonder if those 2 were sharing a shower or a bed....say it ain't so Bennie. I loved reading Linda Prices version of "War and Peace" here at the message board. I too had wanted to submit my top 20 moments from the reunion, but they all were of one person and you really don't want to hear about that stuff. Besides...this board is only rated to handle "R" material or below. ****** CB "yeah that's it, a little more to the right" Severson
Hey, CB......I'm a big girl and I for one would probably enjoy hearing about your 20 favorite moments at the reunion.
Sorry about my War and Peace length message. It didn't look so long when it was broken into little paragraphs.
What a fantastic time we had in San Antonio! If you missed out on this wonderful get together, you missed a magical 4 days. I'm missing all of you already and can hardly wait for the next reunion! What do you think of an Orlando get together? I'll go anywhere to experience that same feeling of coming home, and to be with such wonderful people!
NO, NO, No it aint So!!!jimmy Duncan and my brother Dino were the Neighborhood pervs. 1 beer and they would peek in your windows. That was 1 beer between the 2 of them. They were both just knee high to duck butts back then. I hope all is well with everyone. Brian it finally came to me. You look like Cal Ripkin JR. Man I am still in a Daze!!!B
Howdy, You're right Brian, it was a clean block, you just stepped on my flip flop. I thought I was jumping a lot higher than I was. Next year I will only have 8 beers before I play but I'll still wear the flip flops just to keep things even. (Plus I work for the government, it's all I can afford). Sorry I had to keep asking everyone their names 4/5 times. I guess I partied a little more than I thought I had during these past 25 years. Or maybe I'm just not as smart as I think I am. Anyway, My Grandfather, Carl the 1st, you'd to say..........
Guess I need spell check too.....
I am so excited to find out about the web site, I have been looking for Ellen Moorman and others from the class of 81. I would appreciate in help. It is great to read all the messages and see the pictures. Tracy
As with many of you, it has taken me this song to finally get back to the real world and have time to get back to this computer thing. I first off want to say to Ron and JoAnn- thanks for being so gracious and inviting--to JoAnn, it truely takes a special person to understand the closeness of feelings we all had in Ramstein and you are very brave and wonderful to let us share some of those feelings around your home and family. Remember how to grind now--right?! Thanks to CB for the wonderful music!! It is so amazing how a song can bring back that instant picture in your mind as to what you were doing at any moment back 25 years. Mike and I still get tingles when we listen to our CD he made for my 40th. Louis, I am sorry if I did anything intentional back at the AYA to show your studly man hood.HA, Ha. Reactions are hard to hide sometimes--You still got it though! Kenny thanks for finally giving me that dance--I so did have a crush and never got to dance with you. I vote for Oregon for the next reunion.Definitely somewhere cooler--with all the touchy feely stuff going on we need not to be sweaty while we are doing it!! Right!! Amy Plutt -you are so beautiful-wow just look like no time has passed for you and you are still as sweet as I remember--I hope I didn't slur too much while talking to you. Mark Shepard I honestly could not place you at first but I sure wish I would have met up with you after your divorice and introduced you to my sister--you are a really nice guy and Mike and I both enjoyed talking with you. To all the Duncan clan--it was really wonderful seeing you all even though I honestly could not remember Linda and Jimmy but I am darn glad to say that I won't forget you now--what a truely nice family you all are! Dawn --looked exactly like she did 25 years ago!Wow! Linda Price --you are a hoot and I so hope you do well with the MS--please stay in touch. Shelia-it was nice to get to talk with you and your husband for a bit--definitely too hot to keep sitting outside--you look fantastic girl and good luck with those boys! I think I was a little nervous at first that I wouldn't have as many close friends as at the Vegas reunion but I have to say I left feeling the same as I did last year--that the closeness we all felt and feel is such a unigue but universal feeling --like Brian said --you can't put it into words --we just all understand it and embrace it. Just seeing Mike Goldfein makes me tear up and I do appreciate all the sweet things you say and do for these get togethers! Benny and Carl --it was awasome seeing you. Tony Laurel --you are a big teddy bear and I think you are so wonderful--please come up this way if you travel girlfriend ever gets tickets to Nebraska! To Angie, CB, Sue you all did a fantastic job again--Dee thanks for all the addresses-I feel like I am rambling on but I hate to leave out alnyone. To all of you who I had underlined in my yearbook--you know it meant I knew you--I would like to say that I am glad now that I did atleast talk to you and introduce myself and now I truely do know you and am proud that I do--you are all great people! I guess I should close here and say one more thanks to Linda Price for saying a nicety about Mike and I --I am very happy that we did get it right the first time around and we are very happy and getting ready to celebrate our anniversary Aug 11. Thanks to all of you for making REUNION 02 very special! Much love to all Susan Barker
